    the future of motoring?

    It is only when the last tree is felled, the last animal killed and the last fish hauled from the sea that we will realise we can't eat money.

    Cool, I recall my old CNC machine lecturer telling me nearly 20 years ago that there will come a day that cars will oneday be running on compressed air, I wonder if he has anything to do with it .

    Still prefer the Mad Max 3 way of running cars when oil runs out, methane gas derived from pig shite.

    I quite like the idea of a car running on fresh air... although it's not that new - my Zaf has been known to run on fresh air a day or two before payday

    seems a good idea but cant see it being that cheap as how will anyone except the car manufaturers make money from it? if everyone drove one of those imagine how much money we would all have spare...

    Like a lot of things, inbuilt obsolescence will play a part involving compulsary and necessary servicing. If this whole compressed air idea really takes off - cars of this type will become very expensive as will the "fuel" that powers them I expect.

    I think there was a lot of hype about the new 'generation' of travel with the release of the prius and the lexus 4x4 following with the electric backup/alternative power. But tests and evidence has shown that some diesels are more efficient than the prius which makes the whole thing look a farse.

    Personally, I'm very interested to see what alternatives will be presented in the up and coming years.

    The world's ecomonies are built around oil and it's uses so these alternate fuels will never happen.

    Hydrogen = explosive
    Oxygen = needed to burn

    Now the above seems like a good fuel doesn't it? What if I told you that cars can run on it and you pay about 15 per months for it?

    Yes water..........now imagine the impact to the economies if thay were allowed to happen?

    Bend over at the pump time will continue......

    As for the Prius, fashion symbol and not green at all. Isn't it the Prius factory that Toyota won't let any one near and there's no grass or tree within miles of it?
    Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!
