    Warning Message Help

    Hi,

I had a warning message on the console in my Zaffy GSi today:

'headlight/tail light' and the amber 'check' box is lit.

Checked the lights and found the nearside stoplight out. Replaced stop lights on both sides, they now both work as advertised (including the high level LED's).

I'm now getting the same warning along with 'brake light' and the amber 'check' box lit.

It was all working ok, just these messages keep popping up.

P.S. I've continuity checked the old filaments and they are all ok.

P.P.S. It's not the 'brakelight check' when you first turn on the ignition.

Please tell me I don't need a reset from Vx!!!

brake pads may need a service as they may be hitting the lower limit. having the brake pedal check is normal we all get it. if in doubt, disconect the battery for 2hrs this will reset the system. see what happens after this and if it still happens. it may be a fault the ECU has stored and just needs clearing.

    HTH.

    Cheers guys,

Right, I got the wife to check and she said it was all working ok.

Just told her to sit and operate the brakes. The L/H N/S light works when the lights are switched on and the brakes are not pressed, then goes out when the brakes are pressed!

Should have done this the first time!

    Any new ideas?

I bought the ones that the Halfrauds guide said would fit (380). I've checked the bulbs I removed, and they have the pins opposite each other but at different heights, same as the Halfrauds ones. They've been working for the last five months.
