    Cool i have a red astra help me its going pink

    hi i have an o4 plate red astra and it is fayding quik can any1 sugest a special wax or somefing cheers

    the 'pink' is a oxzidation of the paint, you need to get that layer removed by getting the car polished, then use a good protective wax like collinite 476s to help stop it doing it again.

    I see your only in Watford, not far from me, gimmie a shout if you want my help

    it'll need some proper TLC mate, no quick fix unfortunatley. Will need to be washed, clayed, washed, dried, polished using an abrasive polish on a machine polisher (such as porter cable, UDM), then Waxed. If there is someone local to you who can do it, try on www.detailingworld.com

    why do red and blue vauxhalls always seem to do this?? fade and then go white??? other cars dont seem to do it half as bad as vauxhalls

    The Vauxhall reds are well known to fade badly and although i have no idea behind their paint i do know that with red being a longer wavelength it will always fade quicker than the opposite end of the wavelength spectrum..Remember the colour you actually see is the wavelength reflected towards your eye so to speak..Not really alot you can do about it other than protect it well with wax/sealent and hope for the best...
