    Mudflaps Astra MK5/H (Facelift)

    Hi to all!

I am new here. I have one simple question. I am planning to buy mudflaps for my new Astra H (hatchback). Itīs new facelift model. Question:

do mudflaps helps to keep car cleaner at the rear or difference is not that big and the car is still dirty so quick. Because when the road is wet (after rain or when raining) i have whole back of the car all dirty. Window is dirty in a kilometer or two. Do original mudflaps helps a lot? Or is this only for protection for paint on lower end of car? Is ther any solution for this?

    Mudflaps look like this:

Are there other versions (longer) of mudflaps that fits to this Astra without any modifications?

    Sorry for my bad english.
    Thanks for help.

Hey there, and welcome to the AOC.

get some pics up of your car so we can all get a look

Mudflaps... ahh what can a say...*cough* rip off *cough* lol

na i purchased some mudflaps when my car was due its first service and i got VX to fit them... bad mistake lol

they could even fit them right so they were a bit wobbly but ok.

the prevented some mud but nothing big.

the one part they did play good on was stopping stones chippin the doors, but even at that i still got a few stones hitting.

one thing that i didn't like about them was that they filled up with mud and water.
when i took them off they weighed a ton :O

imo if you were to buy them for a practical use then i would suggest looking for like bigger ones as they aren't that big.

    HTH

You can use MK3 Astra mudflaps are a better option than the molded mudflaps.

Here they are fitted to a Vectra, not the best picture in the world but the best I can find quickly

Yes they will fit on a MK5 fine as long as the wheels are smaller than 19". They may need a little trimming with 18" wheels but that can be easily done.
