    clutch

    i own a 1999 mk4 astra sxi 16 16v sxi.

    my clutch is on its way out, so went to price up a new one and apparntly theres 2 i can get.....

    ...but idont which one is right!

    theres a 2 piece and a 3 piece clutch, i have been told my clucth is a hydrolic one if thats ann helpful info!

    please help as i dont want the clutch to complely go and i be stuck lol!

    You'll probably find the three piece unit contains the hydraulic release bearing ( worth checking this ) you can buy it without which is more than likely the two piece but i would never fit a clutch without replacing the hydraulic release bearing, if the hydraulic release bearing failed after just fitting the clutch you've got to take it all apart again to change the bearing
