    GSI is gone , its what to get next

    well the gsi drove down to south wales with its new owner yesterday , he seemed over the moon with the car and from the look of his old car looks like he will look after the gsi

    the thing is what do i get next

    i will have about 17k maybe 18k at a push if i realy like the car

    i was thinking

    astra vxr
    astra cdti 150 xp
    audi diesel s line prob over my price range still

    what other cars u guys think for this sort of price , whats good and what not

    the car will no be doing that much miles so petrol or diesel will be fine

    You can pick up a new VXR for a little over £16.5k if you want a standard one. If you're doing small miles, anything else would be madness.

    The 1.9CDTi is a good going motor, even standard, but really it's pointless if you're not doing at least 20k a year especially considering the price of diesel and the price of servicing.

    Why would you recommend a Golf TDi?

    You may as well recommend a Focus TDCi, at least they're better built, cheaper, drive better, and have an engine design from this century.

    my choices would be 330d, cdti astra, seat leon fr or cupra as above, Corsa Vxr or astra VXR. Again as said above S-Line a3 is mint!! Perhaps A focus ST?

    Second hand M3. Faster and much better to drive than a VXR and will hold it's money a lot better too. Although will obviously cost more to run.

    Or a Nissan 350Z.

    Not sure why people keep suggesting diesels? Whats the point if he does a low mileage?
