Does anyone know where I can get some little Fire Extinguishers from ?

After my girlfriend decided cause a fire in the flat (thankfully contained to the Oven) it makes you think we need soe sort of fire extinguishers, but I dont want the big ones !

    Any Ideas Folks ?

Oh and thanks to anyone who works for The Merseyside Fire and Rescue !

just make sure you buy one suitable for the type of fire you could potentially need it for. some aren't for use on gas fires, some aren't suitable for chip pan fires etc etc.

also worth a look is a camping/caravanning place as all caravans have to have a fire extinguisher fitted IIRC

From a safety stand point you need a 2 kg dry powder minimum and fire blanket as minimum that should be supplied by land lord. 1kg Isn't worth the cost of the materials as they can't put out anything !

It is my job to make sure people buy the correct safety equipment (onisly thats what I do for a living and I'm sick of all the H&S BS I have to go through.
Try contacting your local fire extinguisher company as they will also need to be serviced every year.

You'd be surprised at some of the stuff Argos sell these days... universal sports backboxes anyone??

I have seen extinguishers in Halfords too, used to have one in my old 406 due to it's overheating in traffic qualities!

    Not sure on prices though.

EDIT: Halfords range, because choice is good

Halfords extinguishers are crap half of them don't even comply with legislation., if you stay with a brand like gloria or kiddie then you'll be ok.
