Question What Tyres do you swear by?

What tyres do you have on your car?
What are the best/worst you've had?
What would you recommend to others?

Crappy factory fit Continentals on the car at the moment,
Best tyres I ever ran are Bridgestone Potenza RE050/RE050A.
Worst have to be Kingstar K106 - deathtraps.
    Recommendation: Bridgestone RE050A

I recently fitted some Falken tyres to my Astra and I think they're brilliant, I was pleasantly surprised, particularly impressed with their performance in the wet, they also have a really good rim protection and really stick out nicely past the rim! Before these one of the best tyres I've had previously were BF Goodrich but these are on the pricey side compared with Falken.

When it comes to budgets I once bought a late 16V eco Cav that had Enduro runway (what a name!) tyres on 14inch wheels when I got it, these were plain dangerous, they span up at 60mph once on a dual carriageway just as I wanted to overtake! Useless!

A lot of people rave about Toyo Proxes but although their grip I found to be good they were far too soft particularly if your an 'enthusiastic' driver they soon start to wear down.

    Conti Premium contacts

Very good tyre, good trade off between price, saftey and wear.

Although I drive everywhere like my hairs on fire so it doesn't matter what I have there gone in no time at all.

Worst I've had is Dunlop SP1 Sports. Jesus christ they just sqealed everywhere in every corner no matter how slow you took it. Luckily they didn't last long and 2000 miles later new rubber was purchased.

I've got Pirelli Pzero nero XL Tyres on the front, which are great, but a bit pricey, cheapest I've found them for were £140 each for 19s,

On the back ( don't laugh) I've got the original tyres that came with the wheels which are the suicidal Fullrun Tyres.

Ok in the dry, FATAL in the wet.

** anyone tried drifting in a bus? ...I have

    not nice at all.
