    help

    hi all i have been on the site for a while just reading everyones posts and getting some great ideas. i decided to have a go at fitting heated front seats in the car but have got stuck so if anyone has any advice it would be great. i have put the switches in and pluged in the seat base element but it doesnt heat up even though there is power from the switch to the elemnt plugs. any ideas?

    I'm pretty sure theres a relay that needs to be fitted as well as the switches and heating elements.

    ive just seen on another thread that you need to have the backrest element pluged in as well. ist that the case as i dont want to buy more parts if i dont have to.

    I can't say - not without seeing a wiring diagram. If its wired how I think it will be wired then yes I'd imagine that'd be correct.

    keep your eyes on ebay. I got my black calibra seats for £12 & bought the switch for a fiver.. Took a bit of a gamble on the seats cos there was no picture but the seller said they were in good nick. Swapped the subframes over and bobs your auntie. havnt wired em up yet tho. Looks fairly easy.... i think..

    i got the parts from vauxhall. 2 elements 2 switches and the trim for the switches. total was 72.00, with a 20% discount for being in the trade club
