    Blueflame exhaust question

I have just booked my car into Blueflame for a 2.5 turbo back system.

Now, he has told me that this includes the down pipe & sports cat. I said that i have already got a pre cat on my car which i got from LMF.

The guy has said that they are still restrictive because of the 3 bolt flange, their systems are a straight through 90 degree pipe.

Is it true that the pre cats are still restrictive?

The pipe inside is still round no matter what shape the flange is.

Here is a pic of it before it went on the car. Has the flange end got a smaller diameter than the other end?

The only diffence is if his down pipe is 2'5 inch internal diameter and that one is not. Top of my head i can't remember what they are.

I gave Regal a call today and they said that its 2.5" diameter, i think he did say that it slightly goes smaller at the flange, i cant 100% remember what he exactly said though.

Ill give LMF a call in the morning and see what they say, gonna call down to Blueflame too as i need to see the guy.

Hello mate, Its Chris who im dealing with and tbh he is looking after me well

He was telling me about your old Astra when i was there, think he mentioned your Nova turbo aswell?

Mines going in on monday for the full lot, actually getting 2 3/4 piping instead of 2.5" now He also explained to me aswell why they are still restrictive, its not down to the diameter it is the sharpness of the bend where the flange is. On the pre cat pipes its a very short 90 degree bend as you can see from the picture above. On Blueflames down pipes the bend isn't that sharp its more like a curve.
