    DVD player in car

Sorry for all the threads i've made, just finding information really, but everyone who has replied has been a big help.

I want a dvd player for the car, but i listen to music more so want a decent cd player in the car.

Is it better to buy a dvd player and a decent cd player, instead of trying to find an all in one??

And also if i did this how would i go about having 2 headsets?

because i wouldnt know where to start.

try the Sony MEX-R1 or MEX-R5 mate, single DIN headunit that plays just about any type of disc you put in it. Its a branded stereo thats as good as any specific CD player they do

it doesn't have a screen, but then you could do as I have done and stick a screen into a sat-nav centre console.

have a look in my garage mate.

MEX-R1s can be got for £120 on eBay, a satnav console is £13 new from Vauxhall, and you can pick up a screen to put in it for less than £75 these days too.

does look nice i must say.

want a bit of a bigger screen myself really.

I can pick a ripspeed dvd player ( i know ripspeed is budget ) for a £150 quid, got a motorised screen aswell, which i could use just for watching dvds and connect my ps2 up to.

Than have my cd player down the bottom.

But im not too sure how to wire 2 headsets to the car. and have both using the same sound system?

thats easy. use the search facility for a few threads about 2 months ago. there was a few people wanting to do it and I produced a how-to to create a loom to power them both, and I also produced a walkthrough to wire up the two headunits together so the sound comes out the speakers.

my screen is 5.6" by the wy, and is plenty big enough to watch DVDs or PS2 if you're sitting in the front seats

you say about a satnav console being £13 from vauxhall.

Is this an actually satnav, like the ones people buy for £100's

    Or am i misunderstanding you.

no its just the plastic console that houses the screen! Vauxhall factory fit sat-nav was an option costing nearly £2000 IIRC - and its crap too
