    Question Components in Zafira

I've been wanting to upgrade my speakers for some time as they're a bit crackley when the volume is turned up.

I thought it would be a good idea to replace the front components and the rear speakers, and naively I've gone and bought 2 sets of component speakers.

Is there any reason why I can't have these in the front AND the back?

Have a look in one of Halfords fitment guides, it should give you details/idea of what can be fitted. You may need spacer/adapter rings for the OE positions.
Tweeter fitment for the rear shouldn't be a problem as they are small and could be fitted just about anywhere i would imagine with a few mods.

There are gaps for the tweeters in the rear doors, and I've already got 2 pairs of spacers to fit the mid speakers,
it's just that every set up I've read about seems to have components in the front, and 2 standard or 6x9s in the back.

I suppose what I'm asking is:
Will there be any detriment to sound quality using two pairs of tweeters, (1 in the front, 1 in the back) such as phase cancelling, excess of high frequencies, etc.

In which case, would there be any harm in me setting up the rears on crossovers and leaving out the tweeters to enhance the low frequencies?

    (Bit long winded..... sorry)

    Thumbs Up Zafira audio

    Ok sir

You're best option is a set of components in the OEM front locations, a set of co-axials in lower rear door location (not components as the tweeter will be very close to you and give you too much rear information and pull the stage backwards) but dont spend too much on them, a decent 4 channel amp and a subwoofer.

Spend a good bit of your budget on the front components (amped)

Fit a set of co-axials in rear doors (ran off head unit)

    Fit amp and subwoofer

Any more questions etc; just give me a shout

Thanks very much for your advice,
I've already got 2 pairs of components, ( 1 front 1 back) can I use the rear with the crossover but no tweeter to highlight the bass, or just wire the speaker straight in with no crossover?

slightly out with the price you could adjust them i guess to house the 2x drivers.

Thanks MM, I'd seen these before but only from germany.
Reckon I'll stick with the one mid speaker in each door, and tweeters in the front. I'll connect all four crossovers so the high frequencies are only in the front.
hopefully this will enhance the mid/bass in the back as I'm not that keen at the moment in fitting subs. ( childrens eardrums can be delicate things )

i have 6.5 comps in both front and rear doors and dont find it a problem. and get a very good sound from them alone (it is backed up with 2x RF 12's) but at a very low wattage (120wrms) but seems very balanced, i'm sure that will change when the hx2 is fitted running 860wrms
