My Combo had a rear seat conversion in it when I bought it. You must declare the conversion to your insurers, as it is a modification. If you don't tell them and you have an accident whilst carrying passengers in the back, or if they somehow find out about it through other means, then your insurance will be void.

Not all insurers will cover vans with rear seat conversions and most will only cover those that have been fitted "professionally".

smi487, my Combo is fitted with something similar to what is in this link http://www.vangadgets.co.uk/van-seat...ommercials.htm I think the floor needs to be cut out to fit these, they have integral 3 point seat belts but are hard as rock to sit on and are not comfortable for long journeys.

The other option you have is to try and find the rear seats from a scrap "Crew Van" version of the Combo but I doubt you'll come across them very easily TBH. Again you would need to cut the floor out to fit these. If you go down this route you'll also have to weld the seat back retaining brackets onto the arches and probably do some other mods to fit the seat base. I don't know if the rear seat belt mounting brackets are present on the standard Combo van.

Also you need to bear in mind the comments I made above about your insurance. They may ask for proof that the conversion has been done to a safe standard before they will provide cover.

I dont know if these will do you but I have the rear seats from a 2000 bertone coupe going begging, they are free to anyone on here that wants to come and get them from Ilford Essex, be quick though as if there are no takers they will be destroyed before going to the local tip
