    Locking wheel nuts

    Has anyone on here ever lost there lock nut key and had to get the bolts out another way? or does anyone know how to get them out?

    Reason i ask is my bro has lost his for his leon cupra r and desperatly needs to change his tryes

    I lost my key and had to get them cut out at the garage. they use a special tool to get them out, mine were so tight it broke the cutting tool and my (standard) alloys are all scratched really badly now.

    I think there is another way but without the key its hard.
    Astra is coming back..bigger badder and better
    ..or is it? Thinking of buying a coupe

    I just went to a local garage - had it done in about an hour and only cost me about 18 quid. Draper do a set of tools but they didnt work for me

    I went to vaux and they had a master set with about 20 different combinations and they managed to find one which was a close enough fit to get them off then I got a replacement set.

    I have two lock nut keys now which fit these bolts just incase.

    I have the same problem. Someone tightened my wheel up for me at their house, and left my locking wheelnut in my wheel.. I've now got 3 locking wheelnuts and absolutely NO way of taking them off!! ( Any help would also be appreciated!

    got breakdown cover with home start if yes they sometimes have the kit to get them off just depends on who its with

    If there the macwotzits you get in halfords you can order a new key if you had registered them.

    i had this happen three times on my corsa c although my key wasnt lost the head got rounded off and wouldnt grip, all 3 times i got vxl to do it for me (as said they have all the keys there) after th e3rd time i got some mcgaurds with an extra key

    right an update! My bro went to audi today out of curiosity and they had one to fit and got a new one too so all sorted now!
