    new mods

well after watching far to much tv of carts going round and round a circuit i noticed that most of them had a flat under tray to help in the down force to act a vaccume under the car to hold it down so i thought i would give it a go as i have nout to do.
so i made the tray and added a few vents in it to help with cooling but under bonnet temp has gone up a bit so i thought why not add a vent to the bonnet a very suttle one tho nothing stupid and not fiber glass crap.
the tray made quite a bit of diffence helped in corners a bit fast so was quite chuffed.
    UNDER TRAY:-

    THE BONNET PLANS:-

I never did put the small vents in on the side a i thought would be going to far.

AFTER THE CUTTING OUT A START OF FILLING:-

    THE TRIAL FITTING:-

after the trial fitment i did some more filling and snaded down the bonnet found many rust spots so got rid of them all and gave it a qucik dusting with primer on the filler

    AFTER ALL WORK:-

got to primer the whole bonnet tonight adn will be getting sprayed next week so will have pics of it all then

before anyone says anything i know my filling work is crap but i am still learing as i am spanner monkey

Will the water not now run down on to the coil pack?

it will run near it but wont be any problem as water should not be able to get in to it all and modern electics are pretty gd now so should be all ok well i hope

Good effort but it will screw up the underbonnet air paths as its so far back.

Not sure about the undertray thing, good idea at 150mph but not sure if it will do anything at usual road speeds

Top effort, looking good so far.

Water ingress would be a concern for me though, especially when the car is parked up. Could you not fit some kind of gutter on the underside of the bonnet?

full marks for originality with the undertray, personally I look at the scoops on the bottom of it and think "hmmm, that'll pick up stones/mud/snow etc quite nicely"

if it works though you may be onto something

as for the bonnet, I like the centre vent, not keen on the others as I like it fairly subtle and they're just a little too much IMO. good work though
