    Alpine 9855r

    The Alpine 9855r any good?

Also what adaptor would be needed for steering wheel controls and preferably to have the car mfd displaying what the cd palyer is doing aswell?

Also does it need a lead runing to the battery direct (I remember some alpines needed this?)

Reading the sticky at the top it mentions this

    Part No: KCE-970B (Interface)
    KWE-971E (up to 06/2000) or KWE-972E (from 07/2000)
Price: £89.99 (for interface and cable)
Compatibility: Alpine stereos that are display and steering wheel remote ready

Does that mean I need a KCE970B & and kwe971/2 ? Or just the kce one?

    Total ice noob

Hey, i've got a 9855r and will be fitting it to my astra shortly, it doesnt need a direct line to the battery as its 4 * 50, IIRC its the 4 * 60 alpines that need a direct line.

For the interface i'm 99% sure alpine do one which is about £50.
