    parrot kit install mk4 astra RCA question??

    hi just in the process of fitting my new parrot kit all plugged up and working but i have a sub and amp in the boot when the phone rings the speakers go off and the parrot/phones comes through automatically but does not cut the sub off quite annoying is there a way round this or any suggestions cheers guys

    What head unit have you got? you have to wire the mute wire from the car kit to the mute on the radio

    hi ive got a kenwood kdc-w6531 ive tried connecting the mute off the parrot to the mute on the back of the stereo it just doesnt seem to mute the sub just the speakers.

    Ok well you could get round it by wiring a relay onto the remote wire for the amp/is this some thing that you feel you are capable of doing if so i can tell you the config.

    managed to sort it retried everything and ran my tel mute to the yellow parrot wire and works well the only problem i have which i could cope with is after youve made a call you have to take it off ATT once the music comes back on

    Yep thats about wright some early pioneer's did the same thing
