    Talking Foam lance for Christmas

Laura got me a Karcher jet washer and foam lance for Christmas so just been out and had a play

The foam seems to dissolve the crap that's on the paintwork and when you jet it off and more persistent crap is alot softer. Going to give the car a wash tomorrow now most of the crap is off.

    Did Laura's too

Thy're good fun and very effective.

What mix are you using lee? I use a 50/50 mix of maxi suds II and super snow foam.

I put 25mm of 'Auto-Rae' snow foam in the bottom of the 1 litre container then added 10mm of Megs gold class shampoo and mixed it together. Then topped it up with warm water.

The foam should just run off after a while taking the dirt with it. If its staying on the car it sounds to think a mixture (Not enough water being mixed with it)

Kev, the way i do it is start at the top and work very slowly down when rinsing, paying special attention to crevices, rinsing them until clear water is all that comes back out, and i've not had any rogue suds post-rinse

You ask for what fitting you want for the foam lance as its not a Karcher product: http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=123780

cheers gaz, its the works steam cleaner so cant really adjust the mixture but may have a little play!

with this lance then do ou not have to wash the car with a sponge etc or is it just a easy way to get a good covering of soap?

sorry if i sound rather dumb just thrying to get a insight to them!

Its a 'pre wash' really so your not dragging around dirt and making your buckets dirty.

It eats into the dirt so it makes it easier to remove without scrubbing.
