I need to save a playlist I have put togther in windows media player to a USB memory stick. SO IE the tracks within the playlist straight to the memory stick, so I can then give the stick to a friend to 'borrow'

Here's what the Help section of WMP says:

"When you sync a playlist to a portable device, both the playlist file and the contents of the playlist are copied to the device. "

So once you have created the playlist, open it within the sync tab, select the device and it should copy the music and the m3u file.

Dont quote me on that, just had a quick look at things, seems logical. . . .

copy the tracks to the memory stick, then save the playlist to the memory stick. When playing open the playlist and that should have your track order.

If it is just a memory stick then you can just drag and drop the files over to the memory stick. You dont even need to use WMP, just treat it as moving files around
