    Handbrake handle problems!

bought a chrome handbrake handle for my mk4 but after i took the rubber off the metal part on one side doesnt extend to where the bottom of the handle sits? so the grub screw on the drivers side has nothing to screw into. and its wobbly with only two fastened anyone experienced anything similar?

You could try wrapping the hand brake in something to make a bit bigger, like foam tape/double sided tape etc

if you put enough layers on, you may be able to make it a tight enough fit without using the grub screws.

or you could araldite a bit of hard plastic or metal to the lever
where the grub screw sits ,
this will make a good hard surface to grip against

I had the same thing with my richbrook handle. i managed to pack it out with foam and it was pretty tight. Then the button on the orginial handbrake broke and i had to get a whole new lever so this time i'm just gonna shave a few mm's of of it and slide the richbrook one on
