I've got a stage 3 and is putting out 260bhp and 285lb/ft. Courtenay said it was slightly down on power as I am running standard cat. Happy with the power although there is quite a nasty slump from 4 - 5k rpm, which they said is down to a restriction in the exhaust (powerflow).

personally i would go for phase 1 maybe, i got 245bhp on phase 1, with phase 2 and above your looking at replacing the intercooler, and i dont think the extra over £700 is really worth it for the extra 10-15bhp. plus you will need a need turbo(vxr) which is another £500 plus without fitting(unless fitted already)
although i didnt have mine done at courtenays, generally cause of distance from me and couldnt really afford it.
but if i can save enuff then straight 4 cs4

I was at Courtenays last Wednesday for a remap, already had SMIC, pre-cat removal, 200cell sports cat and the usual smaller mods (iridiums, veccy c inlet). She made 242.6bhp with 265.2 lb/ft torque.
I was debating going to Courtenays because of the distance but i must say, it is definately money well spent. They take care of you and your car and really know their stuff. They will get the most for your money.
If you can, get yourself an intercooler from ebay or the classifieds on here, its definately worth the extra cash but it is a steep price between Stage 1 and 2. Problem is, after you get stage 1 you will crave more power and eventually go to stage 2 anyway, may as well do it all at once.
