    meguiars g220 polisher? any good?

    hey guys and girls, im new to this world of detailing, im much better at getting the car filthy!! so i was thinking of buying a machine polisher or detailing kit from cleanyourcar.co.uk to get me going. is this polisher any good? or is that 'porter cable 7424' alot better? (or not necessarily in the hands of a novice!?

    this is based on the PC, so in theory it should be gd, although it did have vibration probs wen they launched it. but was supposed to be sorted, aint heard since

    i been told by a friend of mine that works in the trade, plus did a full swirl job on me coupe for trax, that these and others like PW are a waste of money unless u intend to do the swirl removal, take scratches out etc, if u just want to wax/polish, do it by hand, far cheaper
    but sayin that i still want a fecker

    True but you can still apply glaze's and sealants with it so its not a complete wast of money.

    i have got a 220 and its ace.gets rid of scratches,swirls etc,which does me fine

    ive recently bought one, been doing a lil bit of practicing on my mates company car lol . gd results so far, tackled my roof on me van other day aswell came up gd . u just need alot of time on ur hands to use it.

    do u mean change the speed settings .if so yep theres choice of six speeds
