The mk4 golf will be replaced very soon and I hope to buy the new car on the 31st December (trying for the best deal possible). I have about 15k to spend and it has to have the following options:
Black or Dark Grey
No more than 25-30K miles max
big enough boot for dog.
I am down to 2 car choices but 3 models in particular.
Seat Leon Sport:
Pros: not many on the roads, Climate control, sports suspension, seats etc, no DPF filter to worry about, can be found cheapish so money for mods.
Cons: Only 140BHP, not loads of cars about, not sure on boot size.
Would change: Bumper to FR, wheels, suspension, remap, ICE.
Golf Mk5 GT Tdi
Pros: 170BHP without DPF (not many cars about though) larger boot, but failry average car, usual refinments, can look good with a few mods.
Cons: Not as good spec as Leon, not been happy with mk4 golf,Face lift model not in price range.
Would Change: Bumpers to later spec or modified, suspension, remap, ICE.
Seat Leon FR
Pros: not many around, 170 BHP, nice front bumper, nice interior good spec as standard.
Cons: DPF worries, maximum price range so not much for mods.
Would Change: wheels, suspension, remap, ICE, and a solution for DPF if possible.
What would you go for out of the 3 and why? I would love to go for the Audi Sport Back but for a decent one, facelift its out of my price range.
