Z20let Van Passed Mot But Not Boosting Well???

hi guys, i got the van tot he mot centre and its passed!!!

drove it for fisrt time then today, when i first drove it came on boost then hissed loud when revs got higher and went flat!!!

was worse the higher the gear,

i have blocked the dump valve up so i know its not that, still feels like its holding back, well i hope so cos to me its not feeling fast, starts to pull then goes flat after few secs,

there is slight bend in the acuator bar? could it be that?

wot else should i look for?

running standard management, standard intercooler, only mods are courtney hoses, did have dump valve and pipercross filter which has seen betta days to be honest, could it be that??

any ideas would be great to try!

also........i have boost gauge lieing around, where do u plug the vacum pipe into tho to get reading on engine?

Itl be the actuator mate, the actuator controls the boost and keeps the boost on, a damaged actuator wouldnt be able to hold the boost on thats why it will drop at high revs. Get that sorted and your boost should hold higher for longer but you will still see a slight drop as that is normal.

i have 2 other actuators, lol

one is on the vxr turbo i am gonna fit after xmas, just wanted to get used to the van with bigger engine running everything standard at the min!

read another post on here sawing dump valve can stik open, cause spanner light to come on and runs in safe mode! so took battery off at 1in morningh then i read it then connected it and its seems to boost ok now, goes up to 10-11psi then drops to around 7-8!

just got few more bits to get and an exhaust then going to be running phase 3.5 eds!! cant wait!

thanx for help guys, this site is mint, serch function is awsome
