    Traction control

Since having my car remapped and the roads getting wetter I have noticed the traction control light flashing more.

I can feel it back off the power but should it stop it from wheel spinning?

Whilst the wheels are spinning the traction control light is flashing away.

noticed the same on mine, the wheels still spin but you can feel it being held back slightly because as soon as you get good traction again the car rockets off. The roads are really greasy round atm.

Eventually it will stop the car dead in the road. Try doing a burn out at Santa Pod with it turned on.

just had mine remaped today, and its doing the same,
but b4 it just backed it off too much.

i think now it leaves a bit more for the driver to do which, like taking you foot of the loud pedal abit

i cant stop mine from spinning out in 2nd, when you want a enjoyable blast you just spin,
better than my old 2.0 focus that used to spin in the dry when your toe nail grew

i hate the traction control on the astras its way to sensitive and can be dangerious, in the wet its ok a helps hold the road alot more but in the dry its ****, there have been times when i went to overtake things and the traction control cuts all power and takes a few secs to kick back in and by then i should have been past the car not stuck inline with oncoming trafic. I fitted a traction control swithch and its so much better, e.g on a corner with the traction control turnt on it cuts the engine power, turn it off and do the same corner it dont wheel spin and pulls hard so there is no need for the t/c to cut it but it does if it on. fitting the tc switch to my coupe was the best mod i have done
