The End to the whats it worth threads?

As we all get a little tired of the 'whats it worth threads' I may have found a solution

Glass's Motoring Guide have got to applications to get Fast Accurate Car Valuations. Theese can be done by the following methods:

    Online - http://www.glass.co.uk/index.php

    Or

    Text - Details below

How to Get your Valuation via Text

    1. Accurately text Auto, the Car registration and its millage, leaving a space between each different catagory.

    For Example: 'Auto OY55DTG 2300'

    2. Send the message to 83338

    3. The report will be sent to you as a text! It will provide you with the following info:

    Car Model
    Body Shape
    Engine and Trim
Trade in price: Excellent, Average and Below Average
    Dealer Retail Price.

Text details: They cost £1.50 per text, if your car details are not on the database you wont be charged. Matches are only available from 1999 onwards.

Maybe have a subsection on the forum for "Whats it worth"...

People with modded cars find it quite usefull when comming to sell there cars as they would like to know if the should break for parts or just sell the car.

Unfortunately with the size of the club and large amount of users in the forum, we're always going to get lots of these threads.

    My 2p's worth anyways.

I agree with will, with most peoples cars being modified, the automated service cannot really give an accurate estimate of the price. I think it would be benfeicial to make a subsction, possiblt in the classified section for what's it worth threads.

if its modified its worth less than a standard. Mods add nothing so that doesnt come into it IMHO.

I agree fully with MatG on this. And after all what somebody on here thinks your car is worth may be miles off - so best off gretting a valuation from the experts.
Personally if I want an idea of what my car is worth I use autotrader webb site and look for cars of similar value.

The best and only good way to value your car IMO. Different guides give different prices, and they aren't always accurate.
