    Question Cylinder head gas flowing

Hi im currently rebuilding my Z20LET engine as im getting a Garrett GT turbo put on , its going to cost me £600 to get the cylinder head gas flowed... I donít have to do this but im thinking if im spending all this money I might as well do it as long as it makes a difference!! Has anyone had there head gas flowed if so is it worth the money?? Also is it the same as getting the ports polished, or is that something different? Any input would be grate!

Gas flowing is when they test the head for flow rates, porting and polishing is when they do the work to make the head flow better. Correct me if im wrong guys?

I was going to do this to my ST170, CNC heads said they can get 220-230bhp from it N/A with high lift cams etc.

I would say any mod that increases BHP without cranking up boost is going to be good. But you'd need a set of cams to use its full potential as porting usually only increases power top end....

Personally I would just do the cams in the case of our engines..... But it depends how far your going to be pushing it...
