    rewind calipers

    where would i get a tool for this ive looked on ebay and halfords but none say for vauxhall or opel?

    we (actually Jason1 on here did all the work while I um.. watched ) used a pair of needle nose pliers and a vice to rewind my rear calipers when we did them... just wind them out completely (if they aren't already), clamp it in the vice on the bench, then use the pliers in there and turn them until the calipers fully rewound... easy enough to do and will save you the price of the rewind tool

    yes Halfords one would be ok, or Patrco or BrownBrothers LSUK motor factors if you have any near you.

    have a partco ill pop in and see wot prices halfords is 19.99 so its not that bad

    Why take the calipers off when you don't need to

    Using the proper tool saves pissing about with bleeding them afterwards , and lessens the chance of damaging the rubber dust boots

    we were changing bosch rear calipers for lucas ones so removing and subsequently bleeding them was kind of compulsory

    I just stood there and tried to learn whilst he was showing me what he was doing

    the halfords one does not say astra but it does fit and wirk fine

    i've got the Halfords one too. It's not a perfect fit but it does the job.
