    anyone have a bonnet vent?

Got my car back from the body shop on tue night after some sod keyed the full drivers side and while it was in they fitted my new modded bonnet, the 2 vents are directly over the airbox and battery and are only covered with mesh which the body shop said could be dangerous if water gets in... so what my question is... what has everone one used under the mesh to keep water and crap out the engine but yet still let the hot air out?

i have put the bonnet carpet back on but cut the hole around the vents for the time being.

you can see the pic below

Just use some form of plastic tubing to funnel it away from electrical components. Doesn't have to be a massive funnel as long as the direction of any flowing water is coursed somewhere.

That will do. Or you could use a bit of drain pipe. Like an end peice where all the water is collected before it goes down the side of the house into the ground. File one of them right down cut it up as you see fit and bond it inplace.
