Question Life in the RAF...Advice needed

Anyone here a Weapons System Operator (Crewman) in the RAF.

Im looking into a change in career and a friend of mine joined up last year (he fixes planes tho) and he loves it.

Does anyone do the above job or if anyone is in the RAF can they share their opinions on a career in the RAF, Pro's & Cons etc.

Link to Job im looking into: -http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/jobs/w...msoperator.cfm

    Thanks

My brother's been in for about 15 years now mate and he absolutely loves the lifestyle, seen the world and more. Not much of an insight into it I know, but put it this way, if he had joined the RAF before I'd got myself stuck into a boring 9-5 career, then I'd 100% followed him into it. Without a doubt.

i was a WSOP (or as it was - Air Loadmaster) for 7 years, ive just come out and i loved every minute of it, the only reason i left is because i had a massive accident and shattered my right leg took 9 months to have it all sorted and the offered me "redundancy" if i wanted it as the injuries would of left me with a desk job and they knew aswell as i did im not a desk person.

Not in the RAF, I'm in THE armed force that is the British Army

The forces lifestyle is great, they give you a job, pay for your training courses and pay you to do them. I'd recommed a stint in the forces to anyone considering it, be it in the Army or the RAF (not counting the Navy as a real force cos they're slackers )

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring
