Rubber hose help - random thread i know

No idea where to post this so here goes...

I desperately need some rubber hose to make a DIY catch tank as the lack of one is causing no end of problems.

I need either some 1" I/D rubber hose - approx 1-2 meters would suffice but cant find any at all.

    OR

a reducer of some sort - preferrably a reducer pipe with 1" I/D at one end and a more common size the other - say 1/2" or even 1/4" I/D so then could run that size pipe to the catch tank... in this case the catch tank will probs just be an old bottle unless i can match up the pipe bores to that of the ones readily avail on ebay.

Can anyone help or point me in the direction of some 1" ID hose.... Ive scoured ebay but cant see any - even general hosepipe is too small so may have to get creative....

Can anyone assist? oh and want to spend as little as possible

    Cheers in advance ppl

silicone is far too pricey for my needs.

Think I'll grab some of that diesel hose above and try and make a catch tank..

anyone know if theres any ones that feed the oil back into the engine or do u have to physically drain them... could make one i know but it would need to be positioned high up to let gravity do its stuff

thanks for all the help guys...

a bit too flash for my needs Geoff - my bonnet only opens when it has to so no need for silicone here lol - that same seller has some good rubber hoses tho so might get some of that and a length of the diesel hose and try and get rid of the sodding oil fumes lol

thanks for all the info - now time to get inventing! Now where did i put those empty bottles

Sorry Marti - I've no idea why I posted that . I was too busy trying to find clips of the 2 Ronnies "Got and O's?", and missed your post above about silicone

Try a 'proper' motor factors and see if you can pick up some old school rubber cut length heater hose - that should do you
