    low on boost?

been drivin my new SRI T today and have noticed that the boost gauge is only showing around 6psi of boost

this is making me a little worried, but i was wonderin could it be something to do with the mods,

the car has CS2 as well as a vxr turbo, but the ecu died and had to be replaced which cost the previous owner £747 but it now only has std software

i was wondering if mayb the larger pipe work or the side mount intercooler is making it run less preasure or am i looking at a bigger problem

the car will be going straight to Cs4 when i get round to fitting the fornt mount

thats what i thought, because oviously the map will take all the mods in to consideration, at 20 psi of boost i hate to think of the consumtion.

with a std map i averaged 9MPG on my little trip today

boost leak could be all sorts of problems. I had a tiny split in a skinny vac pipe recently and only made 5psi instead of the usual 28

im starting to think this might be the case, any suspect pipes to look at. im gunna have have a look at the dump valve later on as i think that could be leakiing

that is the most likely contender. Take a look at every vacuum connection and see if there are any splits in the rubbers and bin the DV
