Cool Got rid of air bag light. (changing seats)

Just to let everyone know who has or is thinking of changing their front seats in an astra coupe from ones with side air bags to ones without you need to brigde the connectors under the seats with a 2.5 ohms resistor or as near to it as possible i used a 2.7 ohm and its ok. im more than happy.

do you think that this would work bridging the connectors to change the seats to buckets.

however dont you think it could be a bit dangerous, if the connector came loose and the airbag deployed while driving??

    astra coupe seats.

vauxhall done all the hard work i asked them to turn it off and they couldnt without turning all the airbags off. vauxhall found what the resistance of the airbags was was so the resistor i fitted gives the same resistance as the airbags in the seats fooling the computer and turning the light off. cant see it being dangerous because it thinks they are still there. and there not so no bags to deploy.
