    Hot manifold

How hot the manifold can be?

It must get extremely hot there.. When I parked my car at night (after my 1100 mile trip) and lifted the bonnet I didn't need a torch to see my manifold.. It looked a bit like this..

Is it normal that after a few hours (20h to be precise ) of driving it glows?

So it's ok then.. I thought mine was exceptionally hot as it is only 1.6 engine I didn't worry much as everything else seemed to be ok - temperature 90'C, normal sound, normal power, no smoke etc.

It was very long distance and 20 hours driving with 3 hours break totally (including a ferry and petrol stations), Shell V-Power 100 every time and keeping speed 115mph+ at high revs almost all the way through Germany..

Is there any time limit that I can keep going at 6000rpm?
