    Chrome vs Tinted sharkeyes

Are there any differences between the chrome sharkeyes and the tinted ones? Iv been offered a pair of chrome ones at a good price but I need to know if i splash the cash they wont cause any fitting issues etc?

I also assume to tint them it would be possible to do it the same way as tinting normal headlights?

... from the front the only differnce is that as kyle has so comically said, the smoked ones are darker... in that the chrome insert is not chrome but black.

The main differnce may be at the back... and whether it has a multiplug for OEM xenons or lots of connectors coming out of the back of it for plug and play with the original wiring loom.

Also mate, do a search for shark eyes and HID... plenty of topics around this area!

I ordered some chrome ones and they turned out to be the O/E xenon ones that were not plug and play. I now have the plug and play tined versions, but I bought them over a year ago while they were still available.

You can convert the O/E lights with minimal difficulty, but you'll need a HID kit for the dipped beams.

You can also tint them if you want to, in fact taking them apart would make them easier to convert.
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!

Very little difficulty really, just need some different plugs for the wires so you can connect them to the car's loom, naturally the bulb holders provide such plugs so all you need to do is solder wires in where you'd normally have the bulbs.
