    Standard cd30:u:

I need to take out my radio but when I phoned the garage to get my code as it wasnt in the book (only had it 4 a few months) they said there will be a charge of £45 so I told them to get ****ed. Any body no how I can reset it before I take it out or do I not have a choice?

    nice attitude you have....

Mk5 Sporthatch, double din CD30 stereo...just take it out.
It's coded to the car via Tech 2.
So you can put it back in no problem.

If you are gonna sell the stereo, you'll need to decode it.

    I'll explain again...
The stereo is coded to the car via vauxhall tech 2 handheld device.

Since the stereo is coded to the car you can take it out, put it in, take it out, put it in, as many times as you like, without having to code/decode it.

I have a non-standard stereo, and I have to put the original back in to change the time...then I just take it out again !
