    Engine identification?

    Just got me a bit of winter fun in the form of a C20XE corsa gsi but have an oil leak from the dis pack....can anyone here tell me what cars have this particular type of C20XE so i can source a gasket as the previous owner doesnt know what the doner car was exactly

    I would have thought Cavs, Calibras, Astra GSI (mk3)...
    Tell you parts man its for a red top, should help

    The redtop was fitted to a wide variety of cars from approx '89-'94

    Astra Mk2 Champion, Astra Mk3 GSi 150ps model, Calibra 2.0 16v & 2.0 16v 4x4, Cavalier Mk3 SRi 2.0 16v, GSi 2000 & GSi 2000 4x4 are the main ones.

    Theres also the older 20XE which may share the same parts too...this being used on Astra Mk2 GTE 16v

    I believe the C in C20XE means cat so that would be found in the early MK3 Astra GSi, Cav GSi's and Calibra's. It may be the same as the MK2 Astra GTE's but i'm not sure

    which gasket exactly do u need? we can source the correct PN from Vauxhall if they still stock it

    if its an 'o' ring gasket that fits on the end of the DIS where it joins onto the end of the camcase then it's part number 90167515

    thanks guys...i just wasnt sure if there were more than one type of these engines cos of mine having a DIS pack rather than a dizzy on it...dont suppose you know where the engine number is on these danny?

    i think its near the exhaust manifold on that engine
    it will be on the front of the engine

    Not the one in the picture then???

    Pretty sure that has a distributor.
