    Vag-com

    Does anyone on here know how to get VAG-COM working?
    My bro has leon cupra r and needs to run it but we cant get head round it!!!

    Is it a shareware version you have downloaded or a full licenced jobby?

    Genuine ross-tech or cheap ebay lead?

    a friend of mine had 1 for his Cupra R and couldn't get it to do any thing either

    just checked with bro and he got Software from ross tech and lead from ebay!

    Then its probably the lead if the baud rate wont sync.

    Serial or USB connection?

    TBH its a gamble with the ebay leads but the shareware version should work for fault code reads although its limited. The Cupra shouldnt be running full CAN diagnosis so a simple k-wire lead should work.

    I have the full HEX-CAN offical ross-tech lead and 704 download, get all the updates when going online etc, well worth it.
