    Squeek...Squeek...Squeek...Squeek!!!

    1999 1.4 Opel Astra 111,500 miles

I have my car back from the Opel garage, the front driver's wheel wont stop squeeking, not squeeling, squeeking.

They replace the brake pads and a suspension link.

I can hear it as I coast to a stop, only seems to happen if I am after driving fast, 60-70mph. If I drive at say 35-40mph and start to slow down, no squeek squeek squeek squeek squeek...you get the point.

Has this happened to anyone else.

Its not making a grinding noise so its not the front wheel bearing. I have tried WD 40, no luck. I have a four hour drive tomorrow, I just dont want the bloody wheel to fall off.

    Many Thanks

My money will be on the front bearing/hub . Mine is the same just not a major priority as there's no play in the bearing. Jack the car up, remove wheel and disc preferably and spin hub checkin for play or just noises .

Its not a squeel it a squeek.

My own money is on something is about to get stuck. and I am thinking wheel bearing, Just I thought that the wheel bearing would make a grinding noise the faster the car got, but that doesnt happen.

    Agr...
