    Thumbs Up Steering tilt

    Hi everyone.

Am new here and a noob Zaffy owner.
Have a 2002 1.8 club but it doesn't have a tilt adjustment on the steering wheel which is annoying. Is it possible to convert it to a tilt adjusting steering wheel?

Are there any kits out there? Would taking bits of a scrapped on work or are they completely different parts?

    Would really appreciate your help

    Thanks

What do you mean tilt? I take it you know you can move it in/out and up/down (which alters the angle slightly due do the way it moves).

    they should all have it

you can fit it as a mod but its a bit of work needed to swap it over mate
if you go to a brakers yard an buy the steering column from one that has it an swap it over

    Thumbs Up

its the height or tilt adjustment on the steering column. As i have the club it hasn't got any adjustment and the steering column is fixed.

I havent got the release catch by the ignition. (thats the bit i would like, to be able to move the steering wheel in and out and up and down)

Whilst i was taking the dials out to put silver rings on them i thought it may have been possible to make the steering column adjustable by fitting parts from another zaffy but wasn't sure.

Hope this makes my question clearer.

Just seen your reply Danny. Any idea where i can get the mod?

    Thanks

please just check you haven't got it, I thought all cars had the lateral movement ("rake" adjustment) it was just the "reach" part that the Club's didn't... there should be a lever just below the ignition slot, if you put two fingers facing down on the lip below the slot and push down it will move if you've got it.

if you haven't, then as Danny said, you'll need the entire steering coloumn and the plastic cowling with the lever attached.. and plenty of time/patience to fit it.
