Passenger vanity mirror light always on

    Hey,

Just bought a new astra and am having a problem with the passenger vanity mirror light - its always on! The lights can be seen through the sun visor.

After a while with the engine off it goes out but I think its the battery drainer monitor cutting in.

Is this normal / am I missing a switch to turn this off? Its driving me crazy. Its probably just broken and I need to go get it repaired but I thought I'd make sure first.

    Thanks for any help.

It should go off when you close the flap that covers the mirror, so no its not normal.

Never looked at it before, but there must be a small switch somewhere that the flap touches to turn the light off.

    Damn, I thought as much...

Oh well, its a used car but it has 3 months warranty on it which should cover it so hopefully it won't cost me anything to fix.

Cheers for your help, hopefully I can just disconnect it for now.
