    Lowering query

I recently bought some pi lowering springs for my coupe. They drop the car 35mm front & 20mm rear.

Is there any specific reason it isn't just 30mm & 30mm?

    errrr nope.

I got some Eibach 50/30's theres no real reason why there not 55/35's. Its just what has been designed to do. Some want it to go lower than others. Some people may think 30/30 isn't enough (me included) and opt for a slighty bigger drop.

Because some people like to lower more at the front than the rear. I had a 55/20 drop on mine.

I guess lower drop on the back is more practical especially when you have big family and full boot regulary as it will go down much anyway

Is there any reason the back is only a 20mm drop?

Low rear on the Mk4 makes it a little bumpy and tail happy, even with shortened shocks (at least mine was).

Also with the back lowered and 3 fatsos in the back the beam would hit the exhaust. And heads hit the roof, which was quite amusing.
