    Fairly Quiet exhaust options?

The exhaust on my 1.8 sri (ETB version) is falling appart/blowing like a hoe etc.

I want a stainless system but dont want it too loud/boomy etc especially at idle so the neighbours arent annoyed lol.

What options are there for a fairly quiet off the shelf job?

also the manifold is blowing, be this common? Im going to nip up the head studs to see if that seals it temporaraly.

Do you have a set budget we can go by?

Dont tighten the manifold, you could crack it or shear the studs look for a new gasket for it

The remus system is quite a quiet system, its a nice low rumble but loud enough to annoy, and it sounds nice when floored.

as little as possible the Cybox two silencer system fits the bill (ie cheap) nicely, but is it noisy and chavvy?

    no I wont goto powerflow!

hmmmm seems the manifold might be more work than I had hoped for lol. ahh well.

remus is the way forward. silenced exhausts and on http://www.lmfvauxhall.co.uk. they have a rear silencer to the center pipe gasket £5.29. that will do the job.
