    Remap from regal!

Ok, spoke to the guys at regal and he's what they had to say about my mk 5 sport hatch 1.6

BHP increase +10 (too 125 bhp)
    Improved throttle response
    improved fuel consumption
    higher revs.

    £350

was better than i was expecting but the price was higher than i thought, was under the impression petrol remaps were around the £250 mark.

Can anyone elaborate on the 'higher revs' i know what it means obviously but to what?

They also said they would be store the original software incase i needed to change it back and it would be free of charge!

Has anyone else had a remap done by regal? what was it like?

Ok when they Remap and Increase the rev range they usualy increase the limmiter by about another 500 - 1000 rpm depending on model and the engine. In your case dont expect the limiter to be increased much beond 7000rpm

Regal are very well respected tuners and have a lot of remapping experience.

Figures sound about right if not a tad on the optimistic side. Money is bang on though. Sorry. There are back street tuners who will probably do it for less but THE ONLY THING I CAN RECOMMEND IS GO SOMEWHERE RESPECTED after all £15K on a new car and you can screw it up for the sake £100. Just don't do it. Go to Regal/Courtenay Sport/VXR Performance Centre and get it done professionally.

Also does that include and before and after rolling road session? If not I would save up and get one.
