i would use the original jack points, jack it up one side at a time. or preferrably use two jacks.

I'm interested to know where you put axel stands. I have got a set but my haynes manual is useless at explaining where to put them. You obviously can't put them under the jacking points as thats where the jack will be.

isnt there somwere i put the jack under the front of the carnot at the side, surely if i put the axel stands on the jack up points, thats too far away from the front of the car, and it will topple over?

PLace the axle stands securely under a flat structural member of the car. You can use a short and flat piece of wood to stop the axle stand from damaging the underside of the car.

The main chassis rails (front or rear) or front suspension mounting points are suitable. Make sure the car is stable before going underneath and let someone know you are there in case the worst happens!

I try not to think about that when I am under the car. LOL It tends to make me worry.

Whenever I take a wheel off the car I leave i slide it underneath the car just incase. That way if the car did drop it wont hit the ground.
