how bad does it kangeroo does it do it when your foot is off the throttle or all the time while its cold when it kangeroo's does it chuck you quite far foward and back in your seat or ist it ever so slightly.
I only ask cos my car is doing the same thing or at least some thng similar. When i had an induction filter on it (a while back sold it now) it would run very smoothly even while cold, but it's only when i put the standard airbox back on that i got that effect. It is very hard to notice in my car because it'll only do it at low revs no more then 2000rpm and only up till 3rd gear, anything beond those two points and its fine.

Could you be a little more specific in the symptoms please this would aid in a more helpful diagnosis instead of shoting an arrow in the dark. wich you don't want cos it'll only cost you more money which no one wants to happen except maybe the garage!!!

You're looking at approx a tenner

Which engine have u got again?
I know youve got the 1.4 but cant think what a W plate would be

Anyway X14XE is Part Number 90541937 £8.99 on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-ASTRA...QQcmdZViewItem

Z14XE is Part Number 9193163 £10.49 on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-ASTRA...QQcmdZViewItem

Might even be worth seeing how much the dealers charge for this (Bristol Street in Ncle is best for gettin discount etc)

As for location...The following is a Z16XE but the general location should be the same/similar.
