My astra 1.7td is overheating help!!!!!!!

Hi all. I have got a problem with mt 1.7td 1998 astra merit. It keeps on loseing water and i cant find were it is coming from. There are no evident leaks anywere. I get a bit of steam coming out of my heater when i put it on hot in the car. I thought maybe the heater matrix was gone but it doesnt seem to have any water coming from it just steam when i turn the heaters on. I am losing at least a couples of litres of water a week if not more some times. There is no oil in the water or visa vera so i am not sure what the problem might be. Has anyone got any ideas.

    Thanks in advance

    jamie

don't guess. Get a mechanic to look at it and put a prssure tester on. The leak should look like a hose running then
