    Opinions on 2.2, and sri-T

Hi, ive currently got a mk4 1.6 sxi, i keep thinking of changing it for something a wee bit faster, but its such a good car!

Had a mk4 1.8 sport, but sold it to fund my concourse c16xe nova. I then bought the sxi as a daily driver (knew the 2 previous owners, and history of the car, so it made sense)

Just wondering whats the general opinion on the 2.2's and my fav mk4, the SRI-turbo

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

The SRI-T would of course be the quicker option, but the 2.2 is also a fine choice. Definately worth a test drive at the very least to see what you think yourself!

Are they as quick as people think? The previous owner of my sxi has a gsi, and said it really doesnt feel anything special, seems quite long geared? Ive never been in a gsi or sri-t, so cant comment.

Can anybody compare an sri, or gsi to a pug 306 rallye? 2 of my mates have them, and they do feel pretty dam quick for 167bhp, but there so much lighter than any astra mk4
