    Angry running on 3 cylinders

    hows it going peeps..

have posted about my problem in anotehr section but need a little advice before i book my car in to get fixed

ill start by the car its a 1999 astra 1.6 16v

problem is.. engine management light is on, and there is no power at all.. struggles to hit 60 mph on a good stretch of road + poor idle

Actions iv taken so far =

general diagnostics at a local garage = error code p0200 = injector circuit malfunction

then a vauxhall diagnostics by a boy "after work hours" that worked for vauxhall = he told me that there is a problem with my 3rd injector and that it is more than likly my injector control circuit which woiuld cost upwards of £800 to fix which i am told is a load of S*$*

    anyway few things iv tried,
injector cleaner in petrol, engine cleaner added to oil,
    coilpack changed= no joy
sparkplugs changed = car ran better than it was but still only 3 cylinders
( the 3rd spark plug was covered in petrol as it wasnt firing)
but this still didnt fix anything

brought it to another mechanic and he is almost certaing that it is a seized valve from the noise my exhaust is making ( spitting air sound)

    what do i do now?

im tempted to book it in to a local garage to get it fixed but need every bit of advice i can get before hand

    thanks in advance

cleaned my egr valve last night.. msade the car run a lot smoother.. it was filthy business gunked up to te eye ballslol

but still no power at all....

has any one got a guide on how to clean the air flow meter and the throttle body ( by removing it )

might try this along with an engine flush to see if it helps
as the rest of the engine must be as bad as the egr valve was

If no3 spark plug was wet with fuel then it would appear the injector is working otherwise how would the plug be wet ? This would then suggest that the plug is not firing ( no spark )
The way to check the injector feed is to remove the connector plug from no3 injector and plug a test diode in, then crank over or run the car to see if their is a firing feed.
Next get it onto tech and check the live data to see what each cylinder is doing

Basically it's just a injector test light, plugs into the connector and flashes to show if their is a injector pulse present while cranking / running, therefore showing you if a feed is present
