    noob to detailing.

ok ok, im planning to polish/wax my car for the first time... and want to know what to use to:

gonna use SRP first.. but whats best after that for my Astra TT air blue?
and where is the best place to buy from? i know i can get SRP from halfords. but what else do i need? also what other cloth's and such do i need?

from reading through the various posts ive concluded:
    Polish: SRP
    sealant: Poorboys EX-P pure sealant.
wax: Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax OR Collinite No. 476S

what would people recomend? am i on the wrong track?

also what is the best things(cloths etc) to use to apply each of these?

My car is : the Astra TwinTop 1.8 Air Blue (6 months old)

    thanks in advance
    regards

Darren blow the srp out the window...People have this fascination with autoquim and to be honest its at the low end of quality and aggresive in the respects that it drys to a powdery texture...

Forget the sealent then wax route aswell...Go for one or the other....

To be honest if your car is circa £20k then get some decent paintwork cleanser like swissvax cleaner fluid....Its about £25 which is expensive but on a new car why not , it deserves the best....Just apply with a microfibre pad and then buff off straight away with a good quality buffing cloth like a sonus der wunder buffing cloth.!!!!!

I use it or z***l hd cleanse on all my details and gives the wettest oiling to the car ready for wax.....

Then if you want to apply a wax over for the winter to give brilliant protection go for 915 or 476s both incredibly competent waxes in poor weather....

I think this combination on your car will look fantastic all for under £50 and a good protection to get you ropund to march ready for a strip off and concours spec detail ready for the summer/showcar season!!!

Just my thoughts , others may disagree!!!

Darren just gp to halfrauds and get a clay bar kit for a tenner.....

I think you,ll love the result you will get with that lot.....

Try and eventually get 2 to 3 layers of 476s on....
